Geerts Deep Drawing is at the forefront in developing, designing and manufacturing own tools that are required for deep drawing. The professionals of the Geerts toolmaking department work closely together with our Engineers.
Knowledge in house
Deep drawing is a production process in which sheet metal is gradually formed into a seamless, three-dimensional shape that is accurate to the millimetre. This is done with the aid of a mould. The material to be processed, which must be able to deform, is placed on the mould and pressed down into the shape by the in-house developed presses. For large and/or complex shapes, it is sometimes necessary to work with several moulds. Geerts Deep Drawing has the knowledge to keep this to a minimum. And this starts with the design phase of the product, manufacturing of the moulds in our own toolmaking department and the right choice of material.
It is important for Geerts and customers that the tools function smoothly for (mass) production and have a long life span with easy maintenance.
Also maintenance, overhaul and adjustments of the stamps is done by Geerts Dieptrekken itself. Geerts uses the most modern techniques for manufacturing, maintaining and modifying simple to complex tools. This is done with the help of CNC lathes, CNC milling machines and CNC wire and zinc EDM machines.
The professionals at Geerts Toolmaking make the difference.
